Patience my best friend in life

Patience? Do you seriously have the patience to bear with me the way I act? or the way I do things? Do you truly have the desire to wait and listen to the things that are about to happen? Or just want to get it done and off? What's next then?

Patience is something we need to have in us in regardless of age and gender, because it take great patience and endurance to get what want if we want it to grow in the long run. Whether its a particular event, person, business or relationships. Being patient truly makes the difference. Its always easy to say why don't I take this short cut? Wont it be easier and faster for me to gain what I want? Sometimes having the short cut does benefit us in the short run but in the long run NO. We will suffer the consequences one day. Its simple, when you don't really take the time to understand something and jump into conclusions, we under or  over estimate the situation and we would have missed out something greater.
No matter how well we think we are prepared for the situation without first any understanding of the situation, we will eventually fail. Because we didn't take the time to learn, to make the hard work into discovering the ways that can be taken. We thought it would be easy.

Really with patience comes wisdom, there is where we tackle our problem of falling down blind. When we are patient sometimes we can avoid trivial things which we fall into if we were hasty. When we have patience that's when faith kicks in. Faith to trust that God is in control and we are not to rush into things.

Being patience do pay off when the timing is right, because God have provided this way for you.

Sometimes when we rush into a plan or an idea, without proper understanding we end up being frustrated and drained because we are striving for things we aren't really prepared for. In the end we burn out. When we have patience we draw a big picture for ourselves, we take time to place each piece of the puzzle. Yes time can be a factor but once you have grasp the understand and build the foundation its worth it. Because you know that you have given a good fight.

So being patience does pay off, we know nothing can mess with us because we have the knowledge and the faith in what we are doing whether it would be work skill or relationship. Naturally we will be confident because the foundation is already there.

Having the passion is not enough when we don't have the heart to learn or the patience to learn, we feel troubled as we see the clock ticking, we see our friends ahead of us and where are we? We are always striving to achieve something in this life time.
What's better to have the wisdom of the life time gained or just a moment of fame that will last a few years then vanish in time.

Honestly, sometimes its not easy to see others over take us being better then us, making us feel left behind but when we are truly prepared and have passed through a certain time period of patience and having the understand what is need to be done, in the end those who we thought were ahead of us is now behind us because we took time to listen, to understand, to learn, to detail, and to gain the experiences. Imagine if we just rush into it, we already lost the battle before even it had began. The half of the war is only won by those who truly take the time to understand and plan.

Burning the Lost passion.

What is a passion? I believe all of us start that particular fire in our life due to a small spark or inspiration that ignites the dry torch in our heart. We get inspired because of something we heard or see people doing, in general it begins with an interest towards the world problems or a particular skill. From the beginning we seek and search the necessary resources, we build our passion with the knowledge and skill that is applicable to our passion. Passion sometimes means to suffer for something we believe in. That is one way we keep the fire burning.

Origin of  passion :Middle English: from Old French, from late Latin passio(n-) (chiefly a term in Christian theology), from Latin pati 'suffer'.

The passion that was once in our lives does take time to develop and grow but if left neglected that passion, that we once have in our lives can simply dies, because it wasn't developed or it was dampened by the waters of discourage. People around us pulls us down make fun of us or even preventing us to further this goal and dream, they even scorn us for thinking such a way.

Telling us we should follow that way, this way, the way that seems logical and more secure instead of what we want and dream of, not daring to see a change. They crush the very fabric of our passion. With all this we drown our passion because we want to please people more then ourselves, we pull down our confidence because we just want to fit in the community, we bury the passion in the mud of self-pity and self-loath, thinking we aren't good enough to be like that person. We start comparing ourselves to others and never achieving what we want because we aren't better than those around us or we lack of guidance and encouragement.

Yet again we go with the flow doing the things we don't really want to do. Thinking 'hey its a sacrifice I have to  make because money is the main goal, acceptance of others are more important to me, I am doing it for the better of my future.' then we live a long miserable life. A dream of another person and not ours. An idea of another instead ours.
End up we become more depress and purposeless because we strive for things which we weren't passionate about. We just do it for the sake of doing it.

But not every thing is lost just yet, because God has a plan for us, at the time we are at the weakest and hopeless, when we cry out for help and sees none. When we see there is no hope to life and our strength is all sap away. By His grace He sends His angel. We may not know who is it or when will it happen but when the time is right, suddenly someone comes up to you and knocks you on your head and tells you 'What the hell are you doing? Wasting your life away?' Then hands you a helping hand to pull you up from the steam of disappointment and the mud of meaningless. Then suddenly our eyes are opened the world we see today is different from the one we saw yesterday. Everything seems so a fresh and new.

Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.

When we stand up and walk, we began to see the clear picture of our purpose in life. God continues to add on to us the people who will guide us to the direction.to cheer us on. The purpose and passion we once had and the damped torch that was once burning with fire, reignites, we eventually ignite a path for others being a light for others if we share the fire and passion that God had reignite in us. We have become someone different. As we grow further the light becomes brighter and brighter as  the fire in us burns more. When we see people suffering the same thing as we do. Do we put out their flame? Or help add the burning oil to their torch and  reignite the small flame into something big?

Coffee a life learning journey

Coffee... a beverage that gets the gears greased and get us moving in the morning. A caffeine beverage that is so complicated and mind blowing needs a special hands and concentration to ensure that the coffee we are drinking is not bad quality coffee. The amazing thing about coffee is not only the beans but also the people behind the story of the fundamental espresso that we have grown to love and talk about.

Lets begin with the humble barista who is the first and foremost the front line people that we meet everyday when we want to buy the our first cup of coffee. It takes patience, skill and passion to prepare o a great kick start from your coffee.

Being a barista is never an easy task, especially if your from a high volume store/cafe.

half drank cappuccino
Every store is plagued by the morning crisis the Caffeine Zombie ATTACK! People from all walks of life would like bust into the front door demanding for their coffee, ice coffee, ice blended, teas and etc. And we are more willing to spend good coffee outside compared to making our own brew, Truly having a cup of coffee at home alone is not really something to look forward to every morning, reason coffee is a social thing, some sort of trend with the glamour that says 'I am drinking coffee at ...' a particular cafe. The best part the barista's that make the coffee are kind of professionals. Any monkey can make a coffee but it takes a man to make a perfect cup.

At the same time we should as well appreciate those in the back scene I dont mean the person who sits in the back office. But the glamorous roaster. The middle man that makes the espresso bullets for the front line troops. They do play a very huge role in coffee production, they have to be skilled roasters who know how to maintain and control the beans roasting period and quality, to bring out the full potential of the particular blend or beans. If we were to have a bad roaster but a skilled barista, the results will still remain bad coffee, likewise the opposite.

Next we shall look at the kings of the coffee industry the ones that make it all happen from the beginning. They are the frontiers of coffee, the coffee farmers, who so delicately picks the ripe coffee cherries and ensure that only quality cherries go through the wet/dry processing method and to the roasters. They are the ones who made it all possible, if they dont exist the coffee industry could not thrive further.

Most importantly we should thank God for producing coffee as a natural source of caffeine and for gave us the opportunity to taste something so heavenly.

Lastly, coffee is not only a morning cup that satisfies our morning addiction but its also a culture and a trend setter. People dont just drink coffee now but they start to enjoy it, like expansive wine being uncorked. Coffee is becoming a cultural thing that brings people together being united under one flag that is COFFEE. Regardless of race, religion, culture, gender, and etc. coffee brings people. So why be prejudice over a cup of coffee?

Espresso shot
Lets not rush into the next cup but lets take it step to step to enjoy a cup of coffee and spark up a conversation with someone random in the cafe, who knows you might learn a thing or two. Truly, we are blessed if we enjoy such simple pleasures in life.

Expat of the Green Giant

This is a personal experience I had when working as a barista in Starbucks.

Producing coffee or a latte may seem easy. And we admire those who could produce such skills into making a cup of coffee. I enjoyed my time working at Starbucks, it was one of my greatest working experience.

Being a barista is not easy as it takes time and patience to produce the perfect latte, not to mention passion. Without it, your coffee will not out stand from the rest of the competitors. No matter how perfect you steam your milk or pull an espresso shot without the respect for the beverage and the process of making it. You will still make a bland latte. Because you did not show your love of producing that cup of coffee for the customer. Sometimes, being a barista at starbucks your labelled as the

commercial baristas, instead of the professional baristas. Reason is the mentality of your producing the standard commercialize coffee without any love or respect for the coffee. Thats not entirely true, because even though your working for a commercialized coffee company but still the baristas are not necessary commercialized baristas.

I admit working at Starbucks they do not really teach you the advance skills of a barista but non the less they have taught me the basics on becoming a barista. I may not have the skills need to be in the big boys leagues but as every profession and passion often sparks humbly. You're producing a perfect latte as you take the effort to sharpen your skills. No one can be a professional barista over night and all this takes time and willingness to learn from those skilled barista's.

I as well admire those who takes the extra mile to learn how to produce latte art, or having the coffee knowledge beyond the barriers of Starbucks standard knowledge. We may not see a lot of them around, as some start off in Starbucks and moved on to other cafes trying to prefect their skill and knowledge of this simple cup of coffee.

Besides that, I acknowledge that I am still an amateur at steaming milk even though I had been working at Starbucks for almost 2 years. During this duration of time I made friends and loyal customers. Seeking for perfection into their coffee can truly make their day.

So when we buy a cup of coffee regardless  from which outlet or company. Do respect the person who made your coffee. If you think your coffee does not taste good, do not hesitate to give your feedback to the person. Well I cant say all will receive your feedback, but who knows you might just get a better coffee next time.

The Great Gastby (2013 movie) Example of human Desire.

When I was watching The Great Gastby, the whole movie just gave me a thought, how man cannot be satisfied even though he has everything in the world but he still desires more. Making futile efforts to grasp things which are already  beyond their reach regardless if it would cause harm.

The story begins of a man just graduated and looking for fortune and found himself webbed into the rich society life. When your an outsider its hard not to be curious about the way rich people live their life. All moral values would have to be chucked out of the window to fully understand how the society of that time runs.

Gastby tries to reunite himself with Daisy Fay, the girl of his dreams and obsession.  He would do anything to get her back into his arms. He sees Nick being her cousin, his golden ticket to her. Credited for his ambitious goal in life, he held huge parties at his mansion. Hoping that she would one day drop by.

Daisy on the other hand is married to Tom Buchanan; who is an unfaithful husband having an affair with another women even though he has the most desirable woman by his side. The whole story turns into a tragedy as neither party benefited; the ending left 3 dead, one disillusioned and another life moves on.

Gastby is seen as a man who just want to get what he wants regardless of its consequences, i believe we should dream big, its nothing wrong but its way of getting there matters. Sometimes we may think its nothing no one will know but are we to forget who is watching over us?

Pleasing man or God?

Mistakes... Some people cant accept our mistakes and some do... Are we all not human? Are we all not perfect? What is there to judge? Who are we when we judge others?

We may at times do better then others in a certain area. But does it give us the right over proud of ourselves or look down on others. No! We can be proud of our achievement but we must be humble to teach, and receive feedback. I too have been over proud of my own achievements that I forgot to give thanks to the one who gave me the ability to do it, and thinking it was my own works. I was humbled by God, He reminded me through my recent job experience.

James 4:6
New International Version (NIV)

6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”

God made me realise my mistake and my response is to repent from having such proud thoughts of myself. It was an humbling experience for me. BECAUSE almost everything I do turns out wrong. I just did what I thought it was right. End up I was digging my own grave. Because all the things I did, I did not glorify God but instead glorified man.. This experience taught me a lot about setting expectations for yourself and others at the same time remember who to glorify in the end.

We aren't prefect but people expect us to be prefect. I did crossed the line between pleasing God and pleasing man... As the recent job goes, I discover my DARK side. God literary spoke to me through the scriptures in the bible! More of a website bible, which I stumble upon while searching for scriptures.

Galatians 1:10
English Standard Version (ESV)
10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

This verse spoke to me.. Who am I trying to please? Man or God? God used my wife to tell me this as well. As I tell her my working day she would feel that I was treated unfairly.. And she realise that I was trying to meet my their expectations instead of God's. We can never please man, the fact is man will not always appreciate the works you do or even recognize your works! They do not understand you for who you are.

Romans 12:1-2
English Standard Version (ESV)
A Living Sacrifice
12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Our God is a God that knows our limit and he knows our capabilities. Which makes him the most understanding friend and father to us, because he made us! So maybe God's expectation is high and almost impossible to achieve due to the fact we are imperfect but the thing is he wont punish us when we fail because we have Jesus Christ on our side and he loves us too. When we fall he knows how to pick us up, encourage us, reminds us, and guide us, what our response should be is trusting in him! Jesus Christ was crucified and died for our sins, whose blood wasted away our sins and made us prefect in God's eyes. I pray that as you read you will be touched by God. Knowing that he is the only one that can provide peace and joy. He is my God, my redeemer and saviour Jesus Christ! Amen...

Philippians 4:13

New King James Version (NKJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Relationships the Reality.

I have moved on to the next stage in life, that is marriage and honestly it isn't easy to maintain the sweetness between the relationship, because you will argue more then before and further more you have to live with the one you had just married for the rest of your life.

me and my wife

As a guy, there is more responsibility compare to the women side, we got to consider the job prospects and your not living for yourself anymore, some more have to consider the tons of cost and being there for her when she needs you. I don't think i could have made it through without God supporting me all the way. Relationship is a thing we build on from the foundations. Its not like in the movies where we could take relationships very lightly and not suffer the consequences. Surplus not every relationships are happy ever after. There are issues we still face as we grow up together and getting to know the personality of the other partner. I tell you honestly it wasn't easy for my wife during the beginning.

Regardless, it be friends or family or even a lover or enemy. We cant just treat relationship like a piece of trash, or a layer of skin which we could shade off. Even our enemies God command us to love.
35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.Luke 6:35
9 The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet,"and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."Romans 13:9
Reason being, if you want to get into a relationship. Your already effecting the other persons life. You have become apart of their life. An extra limb in their functionality. God knows that man would be lonely, so He made a women to be his suitable companion. So God blessed marriage as a sacred covenant between two human beings of the opposite sex.
18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."Genesis 2:18-23
If you think about it, relationships is the most important thing in life as it generally speaks about your longing to be with God, we are created to please Him and He longs for us to be in a relationship with Him. The first reason why me and my wife decided to tie the knot was because we wanted to please God and we loved each other, even though we have faults in our lives.

We will work out it together, honestly I thank God for giving me such a wonderful wife who would correct me when I am wrong and would always encourage me when I am down, sometimes the sweetest thing you can do in a relationship is to encourage one another. Assuring them you love and care for them. They need it when times are down and it doesn't seems to be going our way..

Never let arguments, deceit, hatred and etc., ruin relationships, be open to one another and spill out the beans if you have to. This will build trust and love towards one another, at the same time do not judge, but be open minded. I find myself in those shoes once, i kept everything to my self until one day it explodes. Eventually it caused hurt and misery for both me and my wife. Since then, I would try as much to share with her the things i feel and my own opinion on things. There should be a WE factor.

Lastly, in every relationships we got to have a plan to grow stronger building the relationship and from there build loyalty. In the end, if God made her/him for you, He will surely preserve him/her for you. So cherish the  relationship that you have now. Not to forget, cherish your friends as well they will be the ones that helps you in times of need.

the king and i production

well yesterday was the 22 February of 2010 where the cast was for the first time is briefed about the synopsis of the story and what is to expect. Well Kuthra is the main director, through the though process of getting the play cast was a problem and it was horrible in some ways.

Even though he felt a bit tired and hopeless about it since there were a lot of things start to spurn out of hand. people disappearing before the audition and excreta, excreta, excreta as the king would put it. but still he gain the passion for it. He had also SEARCHED the scores and the music just to make it into something that would appeal the young and the old. But so far the plan has not been released. so we hope it would appeal to the youth at the same time does not spoil the CLASSIC PLOT!!!

The cast has been selected and the scripts has been given thanks to Intan and Ee Mei who gladly became the script writers, around of applause please lol this two faithful girls did a lot in the measuring of making sure that all things would turn out all right, they had put their back bone into it.

not to forget the beloved teacher advisors who gives the support that we need into getting the cast. Mrs Manili G and Ms Mabel who had the gulling task of selecting the play cast including kuhdra as well.

And also the play would be held in PFS Hall instead of A grand place. well we got to do it any way.

In the end we done it in the Grand hall of Dewan Sri Pinang! Everything went well and the play was a success!! The only thing is we regret to only did it one day! It was fun and i hope to do it again!

Too bad i cant put up any pictures because they are lost in my previous Facebook acc, which was hacked!!!

Things which are supposed to be done

Ever thought that life is filled with regrets and pain? Just today as i look around, seeing where I have left off.. This blog its part of my life when i was studying in form 6. Now I will begin a new chapter in my life knowing this will not the end of my story until the day I die.

Well, let God be my guide as i venture into new lands and promises. I know that he will always be with me regardless what ever happens.

My only regret is that I didn't treat my late grandma properly during the last days of her life. What could be done, I was young and frail during that time. I did not understand... But even though at times i made her angry and frustrated. She still loves me as her grandson.. She knows how to deal with me, treating me with love and dedication. I fail to appreciate that love.. I was blind..

But it impacted me.. As i believe God always have a reason into the people He put into our lives. Its how we place our impression into their life that would leave a lasting impression of us.. Whether good or bad..

Yet if you face regrets dont just wallow in them but try to move forward and forgive those who hurt you. They may not deserve it but they do...

Moving forward with encouragement and motivation. Without encouragement there is no  motivation. With motivation but without encouragement it, dies off.. So be encouraging to one another!
